What is Massage Therapy?

Sports Massage and Massage therapy for those regularly involved in sports or suffering from the stresses of everyday living.

Massage Therapy is the application of manipulation and stretch methods to the muscles and connective tissue of the body to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity or suffering from muscle tension fatigue as a result of everyday living or work.

About Kate

Kate gained her diploma in Sports and Rehabilitation Massage in 2006 and has been offering massage work for sporting organisations and in other clinic settings following a previous BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and PE.  Kate accompanies her massage therapy with work as a Lecturer in Sports science at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College and is training to Masters degree level to become an Osteopath.

She is a member of the Sports Massage Association and has vast experience in working with sports professionals and participants including:

Coventry Rugby Football Club - Home and Away matches providing pre and post game massage to assist with injury rehabilitation and prepare players for competition;

Welsh Rugby Union - Post game massage to help body return to pre-competition state during Six Nations tournament;

Flora London Marathon - Post event to reduce discomfort of DOMS.

Kate also offers massage to treat problems resulting from work-related postures or everyday living, in clinic settings and privately-based and has a full CRB check
